ELK GROVE ALUMNAE CHAPTER AWARDS

​​Elk Grove Alumnae Chapter is proud of its achievements since its inception.  The Chapter has strived to provide meaningful programs to meet the needs of the Elk Grove, Natomas Area, and Yolo County Communities.

2006

For its efforts, the Chapter received in 2006 local recognition from the following:

​1. California State Senate

2. California State Assembly

3. County Board of Supervisors

​2013

Elk Grove Alumnae Chapter received recognition for its participation in Partnership 13 at the 51st National Convention held in Washington, D.C. in July 2013.

2014

Elk Grove Alumnae Chapter received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Much Love 2 Give Foundation, Inc.

2017 EGA RED SHOE LUNCHEON AND RECOGNITION AWARDS

On June 24, 2017- we honored and presented special recognition to outstanding members in our Chapter at our 2nd Annual Red Shoe End of Year Luncheon. We recognized Rising Star Award Recipient Soror Mariah Watson for her outstanding contributions as Chair of Social Action and impactful Delta Days coordination! She represented us well and this is only her second year in the sorority after graduating with honors at the University of California Davis.
We also recognized Delta Legend Recipient Soror Hazel Mahone who has been a long-standing member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority of over 50 years, and a highly respected educator in the Sacramento Region. Soror Mahone is also co-author of Legacies: A Guide For Young Black Women in Planning Their Future. and continues to help our youth through the Hazel Mahone Preparatory Academy and her Vision 2000 Foundation. Congratulation Sorors, we are lucky to have outstanding women in our midst!
